The FTP program is more used to transfer files from your computer to another computer, which is considered a server and which is the host of your Website. This is happening when you have a Website on the Internet and you benefit of free or paid hosting services.
The files that will be transferred must have a low size, so that you won’t make the loading of the pages more difficult. The pages must have below 60 KB. The paragraphs inside the HTML tags must be simple and also the H2 tags have to be concise.
If you want to place personal information about yourself or other elements that you want to be seen on every page, it would be preferable to keep the location of those elements the same. So, if you like to say that you write the article and you live in England, you can say that at the end of every article, in the left of the screen, not on the right in one page, above the article, in another page and so on. You have to make the reader to not get too stressed with the information that you are providing to him.
The layout of the pages used in your site have to be similar. You use a reddish nuance on your home page. Then use a red color on your other pages of the site. In this way, you will not confuse your readers with your pictures and colors used on the site. Create a Contact page and don’t forget to upload it and link it to the main page. There is no need to link the page to the other pages in your site. It is enough if you link it to the main page.
When you create a link, let the link to be underlined. This is a default option. Don’t use HTML or CSS codes to remove the option of underlying the links. The people always think that the underlined and blue words are links, so they click on them, when they see them, if they are interested in the subject. You may change the color of the links from blue, which is the default one, to other colors. You can use a color for a link that has been visited, for a link that was not visited yet and also for a link when you move the cursor above it. The colors may be different, still they have to be related one to another. It is nice to play with the colors, but remember that you are not a painter here, you are a Web designer, who tries to make all the best for his site. So, by using different nuances of red (light red, pink and rose), you can attract the attention of the readers, by transmitting them that the site was already visited by them or not.
If you create a professional site, the company logo should appear on every page, not like the Contact information. Why? Because you want the readers to remember on what site they have entered. It would be nice if you would create a link towards the main page on every other page on your site. That is about it.11
